Who we are

Why BlueSpace?

BlueSpace founder Stephen Lindsay

Stephen Lindsay

After 15 years traversing the globe with American Express, Fidelity, and WEX, BlueSpace founder Stephen Lindsay was ready for a new frontier. He ventured west to Ashland, Oregon, where he founded one of the first impact growth funds in the area: Gilded Rogue, a platinum B Corp driven by the concept of “doing well while doing good.”

Leading Gilded Rogue reframed work for Steph. He felt ignited by the power of mission-driven entrepreneurship — but ultimately realized his own purpose lay on the Maine coast. In 2018, he relocated to the idyllic fishing town of Stonington to help a critical local lobster distributor optimize its operations and scale for the future. Four years later, Steph had transformed the business, reversing earnings declines and significantly expanding the company's wholesale division.

A lifelong sailor and explorer, Steph is passionate about the ocean and the industries that thrive upon it. He's firmly convinced that blue economy businesses represent the next economic frontier — but that their vast potential must be leveraged responsibly.

With BlueSpace, he aims to collaborate with fisheries, energy companies, blue tech innovators, nonprofits, and government entities to ensure our marine resources are profitable and protected for generations to come.
